Teadustajaks oli lätlane Erik Karklins. Vahtralehemaa Läti, Eesti ja Leedu kogukondade nimel võtsid sõna ürituse alguses Läti keskorganisatsiooni president, Committee Rev. dr. Fritz Traugott Kristbergs, Kanada Leedu keskorganisatsiooni president Kazimieras Deksnys ja Ottawa osakonnast Agnė Butkutė. Eestlaste Kesknõukogu Kanadas ja Ottawa Eesti Seltsi nimel võttis sõna Paul Läänemets. Oma sõnavõtu alguses ütles Paul Läänemets: ,,Today, we gather in solemn remembrance – at this new and long-overdue memorial to the Victims of Communism – to mark one of the darkest chapters in the history of the Baltic nations.
Estonians share this tragic date with Latvians, Lithuanians, and thousands of others who were deported from Western Belarus, Western Ukraine and Moldova.“ Lõpetuseks lisas ta: ,,As an Estonian Canadian, I stand here today with deep gratitude. Grateful that Canada offered our families refuge. Grateful that we can speak freely, mourn, and honour the memory of those who were silenced. Teid ei ole unustatud. You are not forgotten.“ Sõna võtsid eesti, läti ja leedu keeles üksteise järel Eesti suursaadik Margus Rava, Läti suursaadik Kaspars Ozoliņš ja Leedu suursaadik Egidijus Meilūnas. Samuti esines sõnavõtuga ,,Tribute to Liberty“ juhataja Ludwik Klimkowski.

Eesti suursaadik Margus Rava ütles oma sõnavõtus järgmist: ,,As a result of the 1941 and 1949 deportations, in Estonia 22 000 people were murdered or died. The figures of those who perished were higher for Latvia and Lithuania. Some though, like my wife’s parents were lucky to return one day.
Many of those who survived 1941 deportations had to leave their homeland of Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania in a hurry and in dangerous conditions during the 1944 mass escape…“
Läti suursaadiku Kaspars Ozoliņši sõnavõtust jäi kõlama: ,,June 14, 1941 mass deportations of our civilians are one of the most traumatic events in the consciousness of our peoples. These events have remained vividly in the people's memory and are still felt as a psychological trauma through generations.“
“We pray for our three Baltic countries who regained Freedom and are striving for new prosperity and hope to live in security and peace. We pray for future of our countries and generations to come after us.“

,,Glory to Canada, glory to Estonia, glory to Latvia, glory to Lithuania, glory to Ukraine! Slava Ukraini!“ – selliste sõnadega lõpetas balti riikide suursaadikute ühiskõne Leedu suursaadik Egidijus Meilūnas.
Pastor Indra Skuja-Grīsle (Ottawa Peace Latvian Lutheran Church) luges lõpetuseks palve, sidudes mineviku tänase päevaga: ,,Dear God, Our hearts are crying in silence and sorrow, remembering our innocent brothers and sisters. Give us love to heal and open our hearts and minds to grow. We pray for our three Baltic countries who regained Freedom and are striving for new prosperity and hope to live in security and peace. We pray for future of our countries and generations to come after us.“
Üheskoos asetati austuses ja leinaseisakus pärjad ja lilled Vahtralehemaa eestlaste, lätlaste, leedulaste, poolakate ja ukrainlaste poolt 12. detsembril 2024 a. avatud kommunismiohvrite memoriaalile, mis sümboliseerib valguse ning vabaduse võitu pimeduse, vägivalla ja rõhumise üle.
