The archives consist of personal notes, correspondence, lectures, speeches, presentations, copies of art etc. These materials will be accessible to researchers, academics, students and anyone interested in seriously studying a unique collection. It is expected that whatever is feasible will be digitized, thereby making the content available for world-wide perusal.
At first glance this particular archive would seem to be more suitably placed in the Estonian Literary Museum. But the Estonian National Museum has changed its approach in what its scope should be in collections and has been the repository for collections from the Estonian diaspora.
Professor emeritus Endel Tulving, holding the title of an honorary doctor of philosophy of Tartu University, a correspondent member of Estonia's Academy of Arts and Science, a recipient of Estonia's presidential order, honoured with numerous international awards is not only a perfect example of excellence in academic achievement but also but a celebrated icon of Estonians living abroad. Therefore the National Museum is a fitting repository for these two important collections.
