Major donors are honoured on the Foundation's Donor Wall located in the Estonian House in Toronto. Varying donor plaque sizes denote the range category of donations from Bronze ($2,500+) to Platinum ($25,000+).
President Ilves greeted guests and expressed his gratitude for their commitment to support the community. The President also spoke of his fond memories of Canada, most notably of his time at summer camp Jõekääru.
Lia Hess then presented the President with the Canadian Estonian hockey team's jersey as a gift on behalf of the Foundation, after which he spent time chatting with donors. Afterwards President Ilves proceeded upstairs to the Estonian House grand hall for the community town hall meeting.
Foundation Director and event organizer Marcus Kolga was pleased with the successful reception. “We are extremely happy that President Toomas Hendrik Ilves supports the Foundation's efforts,” stated Kolga. “Ultimately it is about all of us doing our part to sustain our community in Canada.”
