Since then it has been home for the legendary choir, until the temporary pause caused by the pandemic. It now assembles weekly at the Latvian Cultural Centre – virtual practices don’t do the job.
Recently at its annual birthday rehearsal, it recognized the contribution of bass Enn Kiilaspea, who celebrated 70 (plus two) years of active singing. Kiilaspea, the director of the scout/guide orchestra, is also an acknowledged multi-instrument music performer.
