Arne Roosman (Bancroft) and his daughter Rebecca Roosman (Edinburgh, Scotland) have donated a handmade chess table (copper and iron built by Gösta Roosman in Sweden) and pieces (carved in Germany in a DP camp by Axel Roosman) to the Toronto Estonian Chess Club. The table will be on display at each and every future chess tournament held by the Toronto Estonian Chess Club. Arne Roosman has also graciously agreed to award the champion of each tournament with $100 in the memory of his father Axel Roosman. The next tournament is in April of this year.
