Baltic Cup in Toronto
Apr 13, 2013 Estonian Life No. 15 2013
For six consecutive years the Estonian hockey players have been the undisputed champions of the Baltic Cup in Toronto. Recently the Latvians outscored the Estonians and will play the Lithuanians for the championship.
Hockey enthusiasts say the probable cause for the Estonians' defeat was the absence of key players such as Migur. Mehisto, Valvur and Ehvert who were replaced by the young Adam and Erik Virkus, and Travis Maio. All team members gave their best, but the opponents were simply stronger. The Estonian scorers in two games were Alex Kaju and Markus Rosenberg. The spirit to win still dominates and the players are determined to bring the cup back home next year.
