Join ÖÖBIK choir for friendship, health, and fun

ÖÖBIK is a mixed-voice amateur choir that celebrates Estonian culture through music. The ööbik, or the nightingale, is a bird known for its beautiful song. Conducted by Rosemarie Lindau, our choir brings together singers of Estonian heritage, thereby fostering connections and friendships.

Our repertoire is a mix of Estonian songs in many genres, along with songs in English, some translated into Estonian, and occasionally songs in other languages. We have a lot of fun at our practices on Monday nights. We begin with exercises to improve vocal technique and then prepare for diverse enjoyable performances throughout the year.

Singing has been proven to reduce stress and improve lung health, memory, and immune function. Whether you sing high or low or someplace in between, we invite you to join our choir and bring more joy to your week.
