The Children's Fund (4,012€ – $5,875CAD – $4,200USD) has helped 21 women and 49 children this year. The grant money has been used for essential supplies, food, and mental health therapy. The goal is to send an additional 2,000 Euros before Christmas, which will help cover winter heating and other similar expenses.
We are very satisfied with how the Pärnu Women's Support Centre controls the funds, the feedback reporting is detailed and complete. Reports show that we were able to help cover group psychological therapy, winter clothes, shoes, food, school supplies, dentistry, and group therapy. The prices of goods and services have risen exponentially in Estonia.
With the support of the Estonian Relief Committee in the USA and EERO Canada, the quality of life of many children will be improved, as strengthening the mental health of mothers helps to preserve their jobs and take into account the needs and wellbeing of their children. With the help of creative therapy, both mothers and children learn to solve problems and regain confidence.
