The event coincides with the ESTO Global Estonian Cultural Festival and the Estonian Song and Dance Festival, and is being organized in collaboration with leading Canadian-Estonian organizations, including the Embassy of Canada in Tallinn.
Among the featured raffle prizes is an authentic Toronto Maple Leafs jersey autographed by team captain Auston Matthews, generously donated by Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment. The Estonian Ice Hockey Federation has contributed an Estonian National Team jersey, and Jõekääru Camp is donating a custom jersey designed specifically for the 2025 Kanada Day celebration.
Adding to the excitement, Estonian National Team Captain Robert Rooba will take part in a pickup road hockey game, organized in partnership with the Estonian Ice Hockey Federation. Rooba and fellow teammates will also be available to meet fans and sign autographs.
This year's Kanada Day celebration will also mark the official launch of the Association of Canadian Estonians (ACE) – a new organization dedicated to representing the interests of Canadian Estonians both in Canada and Estonia.
The Kanada Day organizing committee includes Marcus Kolga, Märt Matsoo, Jaan Kittask, Tarmo Saks, Peter Roose, Paul Marley, Krista Leesment, Daniel Schaer ja Taimo Ilves. Event partners include the Embassy of Canada in Tallinn, Jõekääru Estonian Children’s Camp, Eesti Elu Newspaper, Estonian Music Week, Estonian Foundation of Canada, VEMU, and the Estonian Ice Hockey Federation.
The event is free and open to all and is expected to attract a vibrant and diverse crowd of Canadians, Estonians, and international guests.
