The Song and Dance Festival's ceremonial flame entered Tallinn on Wednesday July 2nd, 2025 after travelling from Tartu for over 2,000 kilometers through every province of Estonia. This marks the occasion of Laulupidu XXVIII and Tantsupidu XXI.
Its arrival at Kalma Plats in the Kalamaja area was greeted by three groups of the Sõleke folk dancers, who performed a total of nine dances. The flame then travelled to Tallinn's city hall square, Raekoja Plats, where the folk ensemble Rüüt perfomed in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
On Thursday morning, the flame was welcomed at Toompea in association with the morning's raising of the national flag on Pikk Hermann. Dignitaries included Helena-Mariana Reimann, the Dance Festival's chief choreographer; Heli Jürgenson, the Song Festival's artistic director; Helin Pihlap, the chief organizer of the Folk Music Concert; and the president of the Estonian parliament (Riigikogu), Lauri Hussar. Performing choirs included the MUBA mixed choir, the MUBA pop choir, the Tallinn Chamber choir, and the choir of the Estonian Men's Choir Society. The folk dance group Soveldaja performed before a large group of leaders associated with the Song and Dance Festival.

Laulu- ja tantsupeo pidulik tuli saabus Tallinna kolmapäeval, 2. juulil 2025, olles läbinud Tartust üle 2000 kilomeetri ja läbinud kõik Eestimaa provintsid. See tähistab Laulupidu XXVIII ja Tantsupidu XXI sündmusi.
Selle saabumist Kalma platsile Kalamajas tervitasid kolm Sõlekese rahvatantsijate rühma, kes esitasid kokku üheksa tantsu. Seejärel liikus tuli Tallinna raekoja platsile, kus entusiastliku publiku ees esines folkansambel Rüüt.
Neljapäeva hommikul tervitati tuld Toompeal koos riigilipu heiskamisega Pikal Hermanni tornis. Auväärsete külaliste hulgas olid tantsupeo peakoreograaf Helena-Mariana Reimann, laulupeo kunstiline juht Heli Jürgenson, rahvamuusikakontserdi peakorraldaja Helin Pihlap ja Riigikogu esimees Lauri Hussar. Kooridest esinesid MUBA segakoor, MUBA popkoor, Tallinna Kammerkoor ja Eesti Meestelaulu Seltsi koor. Rahvatantsurühm Soveldaja esines suure hulga laulu- ja tantsupeoga seotud juhtide ees.
