Havryil Sydoryk Piano Concert
17-year-old piano prodigy Havryil Sydoryk brings his Canadian debut tour to Ottawa.
Fresh off performing on Estonia’s biggest stages, the 2025 Estonian Classical Stars winner is making waves—and he’s only 17. Havryil Sydoryk (UA/EE) takes on the classics: Bach’s Fantasia and Fugue in A minor, Beethoven’s Sonata No. 26 “Les Adieux”, and Chopin’s Scherzo No. 4. He’ll also perform works close to home—Heino Eller’s “Liblikas” and “Kellad” (Estonia) and Mykola Lysenko’s “Elegia” (Ukraine).
The concert happens during a special visit from the Estonia–Canada Parliamentary Friendship Group. Stick around after for a reception with wine on us.
A note from the Estonian Embassy: “Culture—and especially music—has always been an important part of Estonia–Canada relations. We are delighted that the program of the Estonian Parliament’s Estonia–Canada Friendship Group’s visit includes Havryil Sydoryk’s piano concert that not only celebrates our shared cultural ties but also highlights our united support for Ukraine.”
