The Toronto Auto Show, finally found the Tesla, but no Model X

The Tesla, purely an electric car with long range, lauded by automobile writers and magazines, was not there by its own wishes. It sort of hung around the edges, its one model S was there in recharger display. There were some also at the Steam Whistle Brewery establishment giving people rides on their track, but only the Model S. No Model X, the anticipated four wheel drive SUV.

Bloomberg News, in an interview with Elon Musk,
Tesla Model X

the developer of the Tesla line of revolutionaryl automobiles explained that the Model X won't be ready until early next year. The difficulties he said were the development of the production of the batteries and increasing the distribution network including China.

There were photos and a description of the Model X available and they were enough to whet ones appetite. The four wheel drive means there will be twice as many motors as in the popular Model S and has gull wings (they are falcon wings in this case) for rear doors. As Musk mentioned an SUV is much harder to put together than a sedan type automobile.

The only downside of the Model S is the price range ($80,000 to $100,000) and as someone said the auto industry as it sits will be in trouble if the price were to drop to even $40,000. But a fill up is only pennies in electricity so it might even level out in the end. The $80,000 model has a range of 400 kilometers.
The Tesla organization has opened another dealership, this time in the east part of this city which also includes a service department. The nearest dealership to Estonia is Sweden. Per capita Estonia has the most number of charge-up stations in Europe.

Oh well, next year lets hope for the SUV.
