Visitors from Estonia, Priit and Kristi Eelmäe, recently met with members of the AKEN committee (Estonian Canadian Women’s Alumae Association). While at a conference in Toronto Priit Eelmäe, former director of the Haapsalu Neurological Rehabilitation Centre (HNRK), took the opportunity to thank AKEN in person for their donation in support of constructing a playground and training park designed for children and adults requiring mobility devices such as wheelchairs. In return the AKEN women used the opportunity to show off to the visitors the main “must see” Estonian establishments in Toronto for visitors from Estonia – Estonian House and Tartu College. Priit Eelmäe is currently the director of the Tartu University Kliinikum.
