The Order of Newfoundland and Labrador (ONL) is the highest honour bestowed in the province.

Seven recipients of the ONL will be invested October 4th at Government House. Among the seven is Andrus Voitk, retired surgeon and the most active and published mycologist in NL. He has spent thousands of volunteer hours collecting, identifying, and working with experts around the world educating people about fungi, and discovered and named thousands of new species in NL. Mr. Voitk founded Foray Newfoundland and Labrador in 2003 to bring volunteer non-scientists and world experts together in the field.
