Dr. Farrokh Zandi
Professor of Economics and the Associate Director of Undergraduate programs at Schulich School of Business, York University. He served on board of Iranian Advisory Council at Family Service Association of Metro Toronto, Reference Group at the Ontario Ministry of Health and Ontario Research Fund Advisory Board. Active leader in Persian community promoting secular and democratic path for Iran.
Sheng Xue
Author and Human rights activist. Key leader of overseas Chinese pro-democratic movement and is an outspoken critic of the Chinese government's human rights record. She is the chairperson of June 4 Massacre Investigation, President of The Federation for a Democratic China, Board member of Forum for Democratization of China and Asia. Recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
Tahir Aslam Gora
Social activist,writer, publisher, regular columnist for The Huffington Post and TV anchor person for his Urdu / Hindi / Punjabi and English on TAG TV. Before immigration to Canada he was already a well-known publisher in Pakistan. His novels and poetry have been published in several languages. He initiated many interfaith and pluralistic streams to bring Muslim community of Canada together to support progressive ideas and actions.
