The way I see it, whoever notified the company which insures St. Peter’s Church is not an enemy of the church, but rather a true and concerned friend. It seems the Executive failed to notify the insurer that the pastor’s apartment, which is attached to the church, has been rented to four university students. This may have increased the risk to the entire property. Should an incident originating in the apartment have occurred which caused damage to the church the insurance company might not have covered the costs. The risk the Executive took in neglecting to inform the insurer is that these costs might have had to be paid by the congregation. So we owe a big thank you to whoever contacted the insurance company.
