Don’t Miss It!

The much anticipated AKEN and Friends’ annual rummage sale will be polished up in honour of Estonia’s 100’th anniversary, and will be brought to you this year as “Wave the Flag day”. On May 5, come and enjoy a cup of coffee and some treats, watch a performance, buy some Esto themed treasures, and meet up with fellow Estonians at the Estonian House.

We are looking for bakers, donors and volunteers.
Happy customers enjoying the bake sale at last year’s AKEN rummage and bake sale. This year a polished Wave the Flag event will be held at the Estonian House, and the Friends’ Café team will be organizing the bake sale. Please come and join us by baking, donating Estonian themed items and/or being part of the sales team. Don’t miss this year’s event!

For the sale, bring only the following items this year:
Estonian themed items, such as National Costumes and accessories, art and crafts, Estonian music, Estonian children’s books and newer books and Estonian-English dictionaries, Estonian themed toys and board games, all linens fabrics and jewellery. Please bring these to the Estonian House on the following days:
Saturday 21 and 28 April, 9:30 – 1:30
Tuesday 24 April, and 1 May, 2 – 8 pm

For the bake sale, we welcome your baked good donations on Friday May 4 between 6:00-8:00 pm and on Saturday between 8:00-10:00 am.
