An Estonian Christmas – Come out and bring a friend!

The Estonian Foundation of Canada (EFC), Estonian Toronto Credit Union (ETCU) and Toronto Estonian House (EH) in cooperation with most of our community organizations, will hold an Estonian Christmas party that spreads throughout the entire Estonian House on Saturday, December 15th 2012 from 2 pm to 5 pm.

ALL persons of Estonian heritage and their families are invited to come.

As you know, the EFC offers financial support to our community, but lately we have felt a significant lack in manpower and seen an overall slow decline in participation of children and youth. We need fresh faces, more volunteers and many more new participants to ensure the continuance of an Estonian community in Canada. We hope to see those who have not been active in the community at all and especially families who do not belong to any organization and have not been able to participate because of distance.

This will be a great opportunity for everyone to reconnect with other Estonians, for kids to make new friends and familiarize themselves with our current organizations.

This is a first time that a Christmas event is organized by the whole community for OUR community and where everyone of all ages and interests are welcome.

People can visit different areas of the Estonian House and find activities, items to buy and performances that interest them. Toddlers will be supervised by the Estonian kindergarten. The schools, guides/scouts and summer camps will be introducing their upcoming summer programs. Everyone can have photos taken with Santa Claus and order FREE digital prints from our office or website the following week. Our elderly guests can rest their feet in the Crystal hall where we will have tables set up cafe style. There will be slide shows and lots of Christmas music. The Cafe bar will open on the lower level with merchant tables and photo displays decking the hallways.

Tickets for the event are only sold in advance so that there will be enough traditional Christmas foods for all. Come and sample multiple dishes, different Christmas sausages, sauerkraut, roast potatoes, gingerbread cookies etc.
Price of $10 includes admission and food. Children 10 and under are free but still need to register so that Santa will have enough goodie bags along for every wonderful child.

Tickets are available at our office, the Toronto Estonian Credit Union, Estore and online at our website.

Please come out and bring another Estonian family or friend with you!
