Eesti Kodu celebrates its 40th anniversary with a garden party

As a bringing together of several events, the 40th anniversary of Eesti Kodu and Jaani Paev (John's Day) brought together by the Cultural Club headed up by Aino Mullerbeck and Laine McColl, the garden party was blessed with great weather and excellent food as well as interesting speeches and good singing.
Opening remarks and greetings were from Eesti Kodu vice-president Anne Late, benediction was from Reverend Mart Salumae, remembering the beginning of Eesti Kodu was by Elna Kungla.
How Eesti Kodu was built were humorous stories by architect Guido Laikve and civil engineer Lembit Maimets. There were also memories of the person who was the originator of Eesti Kodu, Ehatare and Estonian House, the late Alfred Sepa whose energy made the Estonian community happen.
