ESTO 2019 will reignite that long tradition of ESTO as a powerful global Estonian unifier, by calling Estonians back home to showcase and celebrate their culture, heritage and achievements with their countrymen and fellow global Estonians.
“ESTO festivals have been historically critical to maintaining Estonian culture and identity in our global communities – from Sweden to Canada, and Finland to Australia,” said Estonian President, Kersti Kaljulaid, “I hope that Estonians around the world will join us to continue this storied tradition here in Tartu and Tallinn in 2019.”
The multi-day global Estonian festival is the official EV100 event of 2019 and is supported by the Government of Estonia; the municipal governments of Tallinn, Tartu; and the elected representative organizations of all Estonian diaspora groups in the Global Central Estonian Council.
ESTO 2019 is being organized in close consultation with the 2019 Song and Dance Festival which will be happening immediately following ESTO 2019 in Tallinn.
