Estonia has Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems

Estonia along with Denmark, France, Italy, Lebanon, the Netherlands, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, Uganda, the United Kingdom and finally Sweden all have this Small Unmanned Aircraft System (SUAS) made by AeroVironment.

Weighing 13 lb the Puma All Environment (AE) is third generation, portable and hand launched (SUAS), designed primarily to execute intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance (ISTAR) missions.

Each Puma system comprises of three air vehicles and two ground systems and can capture high-resolution imagery of the battlefield using an integrated electro-optical and infra-red gimballed video camera and transmits it to a ground control station (GCS) through a line of sight data link.

The Wasp Micro Air Vehicle (MAV) is a small, portable, reliable and rugged unmanned aerial platform designed to conduct front-line day/night reconnaissance and surveillance missions.

Roy Minson, AeroVironment Senior Vice President and Unmanned Aircraft Systems business segment general manager said, “The company's SUAS range provided customers with flexibility to select the right UAS for a specific objective, or to use two or three different systems for various purposes on the same mission.”

Whereas these are very small unmanned air vehicles there are others which are fairly large, weapon-carrying that have been used by major nations in places like Iraq or Afghanistan that are developing constantly. They are piloted by people a good distance away. Estonia might not have one those quite yet.
