Gerard Kennedy, premier candidate speaks To National Ethnic Press and Media Council Of Canada

Just two weeks to go and third place contestant, the Honourable Gerard Kennedy spoke to the National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada, on issues rather than personalities.

He felt that too much power was in the premier's office rather than with individual ministers, yet he himself was given almost total control when running his own ministry.
Gerard Kennedy

He wants the next generation of youth to be better off than this one. This is a regular request but more so this time since the economy of Ontario has sunk heavily, a point Kennedy made as well.

Kennedy reminded everyone that he was the first and the youngest manager of the food bank (in Edmonton).

Kennedy did not mention that he was, sort of, a king maker that catapulted the Right Honourable Stephane Dion into first from forth place.

That very thing gave him a poor showing the next time he ran for a leadership.
Right now the showings are: Sandra Pupatello 254 delegates, 28.3% ; Kathleen Wynne, 231 delegates, 25.8% ; Gerard Kennedy 124 delegates, 13.8% ; (Mr.) Harinder Takhar 113 delegates, 12.6% ; Charles Sousa 93 delegates, 10.4% ; Eric Hoskins 50 delegates, 3.6%; independents 32 delegates, 3.6%.
The convention will be held at Maple Leaf Gardens January 25 to 27, 2013.
