Over hundred people passed through the gallery during the opening vernissage on Friday October 13, including the Mr. Roberts Klaise, Honorary Latvian Consul. In a brief address, Mr. Klaise pointed out the role that exhibits such as this one play in raising awareness of Baltic culture and heritage within the Quebec community. BAA president Ann Kallaste-Kruzelecky reminded the participants and guests that next year’s event will be particularly significant, given that it will take place during the centenary celebrations of Baltic independence.
The Baltic Artist Association would like to acknowledge the Montreal Lithuanian Credit Union, Estonian Foundation of Canada, LNAK and Kanados Lietuvių Fondas for their generous support of this event.
Viva Vida Art Gallery is located in the heart of Pointe Claire village, at 278-2 Lakeshore Rd., Pointe-Claire, QC. The exhibition runs until October 21.
