Põhjakotka Tare – Under Construction and Making Great Progress!

As of the first week of June, a small and dedicated team of Põhjakotka members has been at Kotkajärve to brave the elements, including torrential rains, the blazing sun, extreme humidity, and mosquitoes and black flies the size of sparrows to begin the construction of the new Põhjakotka Tare.

They have worked very long and hard days and made excellent progress, and as visible in the picture below, they were able to complete the shell construction before the Canada day long weekend.

Work will continue very soon to close up the building and install windows and door, install electricity and plumbing and then finish up the interior. We expect to have the building complete before the end of summer.

The Toronto Estonian scouts are thankful for the generous financial support of individuals and organizations who have donated to help make this dream become a reality. However, we are still working towards our fundraising goal of $150,000. The Põhjakotka troop continues to seek donations from the community to help us complete this project. Your generous support is greatly appreciated.

Donations can be made by cash, cheque, Interac E-Transfer, GoFundMe or with a direct transfer from the Toronto Estonian Credit Union.
