Gallery: TC54, Dr. Vello Soots Memorial Lecture, and exhibit opening
On September 21st, 2024, Tartu College — now celebrating it’s 54th year — hosted an evening of great variety as it commemorated the 80th anniversary of the Great Escape from Estonia in 1944.
The event began with the Dr. Vello Soots Memorial Lecture, delivered by Dr. Tiina Kirss, who explored the poignant stories of those forced to leave their homeland. Guests were also treated to the opening of a new exhibit, a DJ set, and a sing-along of beloved Estonian diaspora songs.
