Strategic Partners in Multilateral Security EnvironmentEU - CANADA: Strategic Partners In A Multilateral Security Environment took place in Ottawa on April 28 at the Victoria Hall, John G. Diefenbaker Building, 111 Sussex Dr, Ottawa.

Welcome and Opening Remarks were given by H.E. Marie-Anne Coninsx, Ambassador of the European Union to Canada.

Keynote speakers were:
Pedro Serrano, Deputy Secretary General for CSDP and Crisis Response, European External Action Service; the Honourable John McKay , P.C. , M.P., Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of National Defenceand the Honourable Pamela Goldsmith-Jones, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Closing Remarks were presented by The Honourable Pamela Goldsmith-Jones, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and H.E. Marie-Anne Coninsx, Ambassador of the European Union to Canada
This symposium provided opportunity for many key experts and decision-makers from the European Union and Canada to debate on security and defence cooperation, notably in multilateral settings, and also on Women, Peace and Security issues within the framework of the United Nations Security Council resolution 1325.
