A recently well-organized fundraiser exceeded its goal by 50%. Ehatare’s The Grand Parade was to bring in some $20,000 with donations from 70 participants walking about two and one half kilometres. It actually earned $31,000 in support of the Estonian retirement home. Among other supporters, the Estonian Foundation in Canada and Northern Birch Credit Union as co-sponsors helped in achieving the excellent results.
