When the cost of gas goes up, maybe the size of the car should go down

While walking along the city street one now and again sees an unusual car (like the one in the picture). Looking at the name plate, it is a familiar one (Nissan). Speaking to the owner I found more.

"This automobile is imported from Japan and has to be over fifteen years old to be allowed into this country," said the owner.

He added, “This one is a 1995, has 1,000 cc engine, two seats, right hand drive and a fair size cargo box in the rear. It cost around $7,000 and then needed to be certified and transported from Vancouver.”

The company that imports these vehicles is called Japanoid and has a web site on the internet. Looking at some of the cars, they go with as little as 400 cc engines. That's less than some motorcycles and one doesn't get wet or cold.

The gas savings are something though.
