Ford promised to fight the suspension but then on Tuesday November 27 sounded more conciliatory and apologetic.
It was understood that a person charged with conflict of interest would not be able to run for office for seven years but in this case that was suspended.
The court case was launched by a citizen Paul Magder who was represented by left wing lawyer Clayton Ruby who took the case for free (he is the heir of smut publisher of Flash magazine and what is now Filmores's strip joint) . The court judgement was carried through by Justice Charles Hackland.
Ford's staunch ally Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti was first to jump ship and quit Ford's executive committee giving a lame excuse.
Ford has blamed the entire event on the left wing elements on city council which can be explained. More will be coming as time goes on.
