Gallery: Celebration of the 108th Anniversary of Estonian Independence, February 20th, Toronto

On Friday February 20th at Tartu College, Estonians in Toronto celebrated the 108th anniversary of Estonia's independence with the Estonian Central Council in Canada and the Honorary Consulate for the Republic of Estonia. The evening was marked by a number of speeches regarding Estonia's independence and geopolitical events, including the ongoing war in Ukraine. Several community members received the Estonian Central Council in Canada's Medal of Merit as well as the Laas Leivat Award.

Attendees enjoyed a selection of sushi for dinner and Estonian kringel for dessert, while watching lively performances from folk music trio Kiiora and local folk dance group TERR Kungla, and even partaking in a trivia game.
