On Friday, May 23rd, 2025, Estonian Music Week held a countryside-style party at Revival in Toronto. The evening featured performances by Curly Strings (the 2025 People’s Pick winner) from Estonia, Les Rats d'Sompe from Canada, and The Crosslegs, also from Estonia. The night saw the convergence of Nordic folk, Franco-Ontarian folklore with a hard rock edge, and Irish-inspired folk rock, with the sounds of acoustic instruments, flute, and plenty of call and response tunes, all communicated with the cleanest, most skillful playing possible.
