Gallery: Eesti Elu’s Zine Workshop at Jõekääru

Over three weeks at Jõekääru summer camp, Eesti Elu held a zine-making workshop. Led by Natalie Jenkins, the first part of the workshop introduced campers to zines (short for magazines), while the second half gave them time to create their own.

Each week, Natalie provided pre-made templates featuring prompts tied to the week's theme, encouraging campers to reflect on their experiences and Estonian heritage. Aside from that, the pages were blank, giving campers the freedom to fill them with drawings, paintings, sticker collages, comics, writing, and inside jokes. By the end of each session, they had a handmade keepsake to remember their week at camp.
