In episode 1 of Little Miss Squirrel‘s (Liisa Orav) “Let's Learn Estonian” series, we learned how to pronounce the Estonian alphabet. It was also recommended to start trying to read out words in Estonian.
Once you have a rough idea of how to make these sounds, though, you can start greeting people in Estonian! In the video below, Liisa begins by sharing her thoughts on greeting people with handshakes and hugs, and then tells us about all of the different ways you can say hello. This includes saying hello at different times of day or when someone is doing work or eating.
