Leo Komarov, the NHL's only Estonian born player, continues to play a key role in the resurgent 2017 Toronto Maple Leafs. Much of the attention this season has been on a fine group of young players, including Matthews, Nylander and Marner. On Saturday February 18 against the Ottawa Senators, Leo was in fine form. After a vigorous practice session, Leo was announced on the big screen as one of the starting players. He played on power plays, was on the ice when the Leafs were two men short and assumed his traditional position most of the night right in front of the Senators' net. He certainly drew lots of attention from the opponents. Leo was rewarded with an assist on Nylander's goal. Despite a valiant effort, the Leafs lost 6-3, with an ending that included two empty net goals. The photo-gallery includes many shots of Leo's activity as well as a few other action photos. Many thanks to Steve Keogh and the Leafs media team for their hospitality in keeping Estonian Life up to date on Leo.
