Toronto, ON – November 19, 2025 — The Estonian Relief Committee in Canada (ERC) proudly announces that tickets for its “Let’s Celebrate!” 75th anniversary fundraiser will go on sale Monday, November 24, 2025. The event will be held on Friday, March 7, 2026, and promises an unforgettable evening of fine dining, music, and community in celebration of 75 years of service to the Canadian-Estonian community.
Event Director Kristi Doughty revealed that the event’s gourmet dining experience will be created by Chef Andres Allas of Salt restaurant in Estonia, known for his modern Nordic cuisine and artistry. Guests will also enjoy a special performance by Haldi & ans Flamingo Duo, rising stars in Estonia’s contemporary music scene.

Supporting Ehatare: Caring for Our Elders, Preserving Our Heritage
Funds raised from this celebration will support improvements, equipment, and program needs that enhance the wellbeing, engagement, and quality of life of older individuals, both at Ehatare and in the wider community.
Ehatare, operated by the ERC, is the only Estonian-language retirement home outside of Estonia, offering culturally meaningful care to seniors from across Canada. Recently, Ehatare has also begun welcoming co-op students from Estonia, deepening cross-generational and cross-cultural connections within the Estonian community.
“For 75 years, the Estonian Relief Committee has stood for care, community, and cultural continuity,” said Allan Meiusi, Chair of the Estonian Relief Committee in Canada. “This event is both a celebration of our history and an investment in the future — ensuring that Ehatare continues to thrive for generations to come.”
Acting Executive Director Kristiina Valter added: “Ehatare is more than a residence — it’s a community where language, tradition, and compassion come together every day. The upgrades and new programs made possible by this fundraiser will have a lasting impact on our residents’ well-being.”
