Tickets are on sale from Oct 21 until 10pm on Nov 15. Once you click on your streaming link, you will have 48-hours to finish watching the movie. During this 48-hour period, you can watch or restart the film as many times as needed.

We are excited to invite you to engage in a stimulating panel discussion and Q & A about Nordic Pulse, an AEHS (Alberta Estonian Heritage Society) presentation, with community support from the CPO (Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra), at CEFF (Calgary European Film Festival).
The film is by David Donnelly, featuring Kristjan Järvi and the Baltic Philharmonic made up of youth now grown into young professionals from 10 countries bordering the Baltic Sea. They do extraordinary and unheard of feats of spectacular Donnelly and Järvi are joined by Liina-Ly Roos in a moderated discussion by AEHS President Kelly Schuler. There will be a lively discussion on the dynamic themes and the relationships among the people making this unique spectacle of sound, light, visual art and technology combined in the beauty of story, stellar cinematography and great performance.
Estonian Kristjan Järvi, conductor, producer, composer and arranger lives and breathes music using its power to create spaces in which anything is possible. Kristjan Järvi has earned a reputation as one of the canniest and most innovative programmers on the classical scene. Taking his artistic flair to ecstatic heights with Sunbeam Productions and tours, as featured in the Nordic Pulse story, Järvi continues to inspire through whole new sound experiences.
David Donnelly is the director of Nordic Pulse. A U.S. filmmaker, speaker, writer, poet, entrepreneur, and artist, Donnelly has written and directed feature-length films, produced music videos, video installation art, short films, and feature-length documentaries. His work has been featured in publications including Forbes, Playbill and NPR. Donnelly’s first feature-length documentary Maestro has been translated into ten languages and is airing on international networks spanning five continents.
Liina-Ly Roos, Ph.D. specializes in twentieth to twenty-first century Nordic and Baltic culture with a specific focus on post-WWII and contemporary film, television and literature. Estonian-born Roos is a professor at the University of Wisconsin in German, Nordic and Slavic+ Studies. In addition, her fascinating work includes: Imagining the Post-Soviet Trauma in Nordic Cinema in Baltic Screen Media Review (2014) and her chapter on Melodrama, Childhood and Nordic Cultural Memory of War is forthcoming in Nordic War Stories (ed. Marianne Stecher). Liina-Ly's current book project The Not-Quite Child: Invisible Structures of Memory and Migration, analyzes the popular figure of the child in contemporary Nordic film and literature that illuminates unique ways of movement across proximate borders and the emotional histories of nations.
