The FIFA World Cup competition will bring renewed interest to football (known in North America as soccer) in the Greater Toronto-Hamilton area.
For prices that are far more reasonable than FIFA’s, watching Hamilton’s Forge FC play at Hamilton Stadium is a great way to enjoy the game. Forge FC is currently the top team in the Canadian Premier League. They secured that position after a 1-0 win over second place Cavalry FC, which plays out of Calgary.
The Hamilton team has a faithful and enthusiastic fan base. In a tradition unique to Hamilton, an anvil is first struck at the end of a winning game by the player who is deemed to be the most worthy.
