Join Tartu College and VEMU Estonian Museum Canada on Saturday, September 23 at 2 p.m. as we celebrate Tartu College 53 with the opening of the Vabamu exhibit “Why Estonia? The 30-year Journey from the USSR to e-Estonia” and the annual Dr. Vello Soots memorial lecture by the Senior Expert of the e-Governance Academy Kristina Reinsalu “Digitization as Driver for Innovation and Social Change”.
Vabamu director Karen Jagodin will be speaking about the popular exhibition, originally opened in November 2021 at Vabamu Museum of Occupation and Freedom in Tallinn. It takes a look back at the birth of a digital nation, its achievements over the years and what the future holds in store.
The exhibition has been curated by recognized Estonian technology journalist Henrik Roonemaa from an idea by the director of Vabamu, Karen Jagodin, and is brought to you by Vabamu, VEMU Estonian Museum Abroad, and Taavet+Sten.
