Accounting responsibilities include and are not limited to:
- Processing monthly payments and maintaining accurate data records.
- Performing daily reconciliations for receivables.
- Creating monthly batches of invoices.
- Handling general ledger bookkeeping as required.
- Conducting monthly bank reconciliations.
- Preparing financial reports.
- Managing client accounts and payment schedules.
Administrative responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Welcoming customers, answering phone calls and resolving inquiries
- Collaborating with the housing coordinator to provide accommodations for students and other services.
- Assist in maintaining Tartu College's website and managing social media accounts.
- Providing administrative support and assist with event planning for Estonian Museum Canada and Estonian Life teams.
- Continuously update internal and external communications as part of the team.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of office-related work experience.
- Post-secondary education or college diploma or relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with standard office procedures, accounting practices and software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain precise records.
- Effective and tactful communication with the general public, students, and staff.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Flexibility and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Capacity to work independently and unsupervised when required.
- Ability to communicate in Estonian is an asset.
The successful candidate must be permitted to work in Canada.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary range: $45,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year depending on skill set
Benefits: Extended health care benefits inc. dental care, standard vacation, sick days and on-site parking
Working Schedule:
8-hour shift, Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person in the Annex, Toronto
