The program opened to an large audience of Estonians and the general public, with a welcome by the Estonian Honorary Consul of B.C., Evaleen Jääger Roy, Vancouver Estonian Society President Ingrid Soide, and Lilian Olljum, the main organizer who helped to arrange all the home stays for the choir and their drivers.
Their performance was nothing short of perfection, helping to put Estonia on the map for the Canadians who attended.
Director Külli Lokko, together with the beautiful voices of the choir, enchanted the audience through a journey of choral music of Estonia that touched the soul. After the concert, everyone was invited to enjoy a post-reception gathering with cold refreshments and gourmet cookies. Everyone spilled into the lovely evening air with high spirits. The Elleri Tütarlastekoor's album Las Ma Olen was just released and you can listen to it online on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
After the three days of concerts in Vancouver, the choir took a day to sightsee before heading off to Whistler and the interior for six days of hiking in the beautiful mountains of B.C.
