The Estonian Central Council Congratulates Kersti Kaljulaid On Her Inauguration As The Fifth President of Estonia

The Estonian Central Council in Canada proudly congratulates Estonia's 5th President, Kersti Kaljulaid for accepting to serve Estonia as its head of state. The Council wishes her strength and courage in her new role, as she helps Estonia navigate through challenging international issues in difficult times.

President Kaljulaid's deep international experience and background in commerce and finance will most certainly benefit Estonia in the coming years. The Council is certain that President Kaljulaid will continue to build on the successes of her predecessor, President Toomas Hendrik Ilves, who was instrumental in developing Estonia's cyber expertise and raising Estonia's profile to become a well respected and regarded voice on the international stage.

The Council hopes that President Kaljulaid will raise the issue of Presidential electoral reform during her term, to avoid the challenges that the most recent election produced, and empower the people of Estonia to have their voiced heard directly in this process.
