They celebrated 100 years of the Communist Revolution, on Toronto City Hall Square

Among rusting transport crates we see communist sloganeering ready to sprung on the citizens of Toronto on Saturday, September 30th (one night only thankfully) under the guise of “Illuminato” an all night sequence of events that runs for a week.

The event, curated by a U.S. born individual, Nato Thompson who said, “since this is the hundreth anniversary of the October revolution we thought we should commemorate the event.” Asked if he didn’t think that of all the people the regime had killed they should be condemned not honoured. He answered, “well that was Stalinism.”

The event had been put together by three people (Dimitry Vilensky, Tsaplya Olga Egorova and Nikolay Oleynikov) from St. Petersburg.

This event was publicized in a brochure given out by the City of Toronto and openly mentions as its first event of the City Hall, Saturday, “A Monument to the century of Revolution, GREAT October socialist revolution, Russia 1917”

Other events were : Yugoslav Partisan anti-fascist struggle and the non-aligned movement, German Revolution of 1918-1919, Postcapitalist Propaganda, Colour Revolution, Perestroika in the USSR and 1989, Mexican Revolution 1917 Zapatistas Army of National Liberation Uprising 1994, China Revolution and the “The Little Red Book” of Revolution, Cuban Revolution, 1959 among other titles.

Should we all phone Toronto Mayor John Tory’s office and ask why the city is commemorating the most murderous regime in the history of mankind?
