PHOTOS – Sunday Beach Volleyball, Women’s gold medal match and awards ceremony

The Swatch World Beach Volleyball final for women was a hotly contested match between Rio Olympic champions Ludwig and Walkenhorst (Germany) and Heinrich and Zumkehr (Switzerland). The match was never in doubt as Germany prevailed, in large part thanks to excellent retrieving ("digging") by Laura Ludwig. The photographer spent less time focusing on the net play and was rewarded with a few good "dig" photos, which are shared in the photo gallery.
