Mark, an earnest idealist who longs to live outside the constraints of capitalism, gives up a successful career as a squash coach in London to reinvent himself in Estonia. He tests his theories by living without money, volunteering his time, bartering tantric “energy sessions,” and launching the Tallinn Sharing Community, a grassroots organization for the exchange of skills, experiences, food and love.
But few people are willing to join the foreigner's cause and others question whether his “sharing is caring” ethos is sincere, a scam or sexual predation. Is Mark a drifter, a grifter, a mooch or just a man willing to make his ideals real? Without support, he descends into disillusionment, and wonders why he even bothers trying to spread free love, kindness and world peace. In this compelling character study, Mark struggles to practice what he preaches—and despite channeling Lennon, comes closer to Lenin in his efforts to effect change.
