Estonian consulate’s new home in Toronto

The Toronto Estonian House was the home for Estonia’s representative in Canada for several decades. With the establishment of an Embassy in Ottawa, the consulate still remained in Toronto, the city with the most active diaspora community worldwide. The Estonian House is no longer Estonian, and the consulate was forced to relocate, not far from its longstanding home on Bloor Street East. Hon. Vice Consul Thomas Heinsoo was able to show the new facility on January 1st, at the revival of an old tradition – the New Year’s Levy.
