On sweltering Saturday

On sweltering Saturday July 28, approximately 40 Estonain golfers and friends descended upon the Batteaux Creek Golf Course, just outside Collingwood, to participate in Peeter Toome's annual SS/Kalev golf tournament. Even if one did not play golf and spent Saturday admiring Elvises of all sizes, shapes and sexes in Collingwood,
at Hr. Toome's everyone was able to feel the cool breezes of Georgian Bay, taste some fine home cooking, listen to high quality campfire music and just enjoy the company of the many guests, some who had come in from as far away as Jõekääru! Around the campfire, Tarmo Lõbu, Lembit Nieländer and the Unkown Accordionist held the audiences rapt attention with their sometimes boisterous (thank you Tarmo1), and sometimes mellow music (thank you accordionists!).

In golf Adam Migur repeated as Champion edging our Peter Ojala by one stroke, with Ingrid Saaliste winning the Ladies Division.
Regardless of how well one had played golf, or how one's eyes had to absorb so many varying Elvises, in the evening a great time was had by all!
