Describing a performance at St. Peter's Church in 2009, Dr. Roman Toi commented that Hains' straightforward and confident musicianship would take him far.
It so happened that Hains' musical path first took him to Tallinn, then to Ireland for studies, where he also had the opportunity to begin researching the well-being of classical musicians.

Hains, who currently lives in San Francisco, says that while he is a chamber musician, playing both violin and viola, teaching has become his primary activity. “I am very happy to be able to support young musicians on their creative paths, promoting their artistic development, and mental and physical well-being.”
Classical music from the Baroque to the present day will be included, as well as Irish and Chilean folk music and Estonian tradition – violin and voice.
Now he is headed to Toronto for the third time, and in honor of this, he wants to give a concert that offers a cross-section of his musical journey.
Classical music from the Baroque to the present day will be included, as well as Irish and Chilean folk music and Estonian tradition – violin and voice. He will also dedicate one song to Charles Kipper, with whom Hains had the honour of performing in 2008. This time he has the great pleasure of playing with the young talent Erik Kreem, whose work will also be heard.
Please join us at St. Peter's Church on Wednesday, August 27th at 1 pm, followed by coffee in the guild room. Voluntary donation. All welcome!
